Americans are Americans. They don't like anyone interferring in their personal life and the World's problems are supposed to be taken care of by the idiots they elect to take care of "problems" and "manage" the town/city, county, state, country. So, when the War on Terror came along, they supported and cheered on the President for as long as they thought he was "fighting" and making progress. When GW, aka "Dubaya", back after the last presidential election (2004), started sitting on his hands and acting like Ol' LBJ (a'la Vietnam) they started moaning and groaning. During the past two-plus years, 'Dubaya' hasn't done a thing except act like the last Texas Turkey we had in the White House, and hope is fading faster and faster that he'll see the light and do anything any different than he has to date. His 'latest' plus up of troops only smells like "Escallation" to most folks. No wonder 'Hanoi Jane' --et al-- are crawling out of the woodwork and dusting off their picket signs. Bottom line: Americans expect Bush to "W I N" (like his Daddy did) and get the he!! out before this time next year. Will he? I really doubt the boy can do it, and I ain't bettin' on Petraeus either; I got a feeling he's more of another MacClellan than a Grant.

It appears history is repeating itself before our very eyes.

All these years later, I'm still trying to figure out where did the America I left in 1969 go while I was gone until 1974.

Hearing the talk of non-support, while I was first in Viet Nam and then in Germany, defintely affected morale in a negative manner.

It would appear also that the words Victory or Win have been removed from the Democrat dictionary, unless they apply solely to elections.
